In Playroom Pre-K children will experience a warm, engaging, and structured classroom designed to help them learn through hands-on activities. Students will explore early learning skills through phonics, basic math, story time, crafts, games, and free play. Children will continue to devlop social skills as they learn to share, express their emotions, listen to others, and follow directions. We will also focus on building independence, communication skills, and a positive classroom community. Our goal is to foster a love of learning and help prepare students for a successful transition to kindergarten.

Tuition: $1,380

Our Pre-K Prep class is a warm, play-based environment where children build foundational skills like colors, shapes, counting, and early literacy through a daily letter focus.
Each day includes a circle time, hands-on crafts, one-om-one activities targeting counting, sorting, pattern recogntion, and fine motor skills, along with daily storytime to encourage a love of reading.
Our goal is to create a fun, engaging space where every child can develop a love for learning through play!

Stay & Play Sessions
Stay & Play allows a child to Drop-In at The Playroom on the day of Playroom Pre-K.- Payment must be made at time of registration to secure class spot.
- Payments are non-refundable.
- A 5% credit card fee fee added to all online transactions
- Classes are full with 10 students; must have 5 registered for the class to run.
- If HCPS is closed due to inclement weather, classes will be cancelled. If HCPS is delayed, classes will be delayed.
- If you are unable to make it to your scheduled class, one make-up visit will be issued each session with a pass to The Playroom for free play. The pass must be picked up before the end of the session.

meet your teachers
Jenna Pompilii “Ms. Jenna”
Jenna is a mom and former primary school teacher who loves helping children learn and grow. She earned her degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from Towson University. Her experience includes teaching for HCPS as an elementary school teacher, children’s gymnastics and dance. She also taught her preschool class at her church and worked as a nanny. She is excited about continuing to share her love for learning with her students at The Playroom!
Melanie Merryman Clark “Ms. Mel”
Melanie is a stay at home mom to 2 youngs boys. Before becoming a mom, she was the operator and director of a My Gym Children’s Fitness Center in Central MD. She is passionate about combining education and play to create a love of learning!
